The CICA Reti-A Cream 0.05 combines centella asiatica with 0.05 percent retinol to pair a calming base with a modest, approachable retinol dose. The centella is there to help offset some of the redness and dryness that can come with starting retinol, while the retinol itself works on cell turnover and texture over time.
It's a reasonable option for people who want to try retinol but are wary of irritation, though as with any retinol product, easing in gradually is still the safest approach.
Apply as the final step of your evening routine. Start every other night and increase frequency as tolerated. Always wear SPF the next morning.
